ShowCase Events – Journey of Nanni Singh to build a platform to empower Musicians
super easy
Showcase Events was created to make India’s rich folk heritage available to an urban audience, a segment that always seems to be short on time. Trained in Hindustani classical music since her formative years, Nanni Singh, the CEO of ShowCase Events, had always wanted to empower traditional and folk musicians by giving them a proper voice and representation in an ever-changing market. Nanni’s personal life and journey were instrumental in the formation of her ideas and drove her to create the ShowCase brand with its various offerings. The birth of her son with Thalassemia Major led to her involvement with the organization Thalassemics India, which entailed connecting with patients, their families, and the fraternity around the world to help existing Thalassemic patients and find ways to prevent the condition in future generations. This also led to her joining the Genesis Foundation as the Head of Events in 2008. As part of her role, she organized Fundraiser events to support critically ill underprivileged children. She would create, curate, coordinate, and execute music events of all sizes, purely to raise funds. Her firm belief that music creates positive and happy vibes, and is a happy meeting ground for the musicians and the audience, has always been the cornerstone of her event curation journey.
The events for the Genesis Foundation brought her in contact with lots of amazing musicians who did not have a serious voice and representation in the industry. That is what inspired Nanni to initial showcase Events in 2018 as her own events space. With a creative and equally passionate team in tow, she has taken it to great heights. Their first musical IP, “Sounds From The Desert-An unusual journey into the true soul of Rajasthani Folk Music,” a consolidated production of Rajasthani folk, was presented to rave reviews at the Royal Opera House, Mumbai, and the Siri Fort Auditorium, New Delhi.

With the pandemic changing our lives indelibly, the company has taken it upon itself to create special moments, digitally and virtually.

ShowCase Studio, the latest addition to the wide repertoire of services offered by Showcase Events, is an attempt to bridge the growing gap between the audience and the artists.
This one-of-a-kind talk show brings the candid honesty of artists across genres to the living rooms of the audience, every Sunday at 6:30 p.m. The artists speak about their art forms as they converse with an expert in their field, along with performing their best pieces live for the virtual audience. The first season of this show has already streamed five successful episodes. In just two years, ShowCase Events has established itself as a force to reckon with. Focusing on the artist that has stayed sincere to their genres by incorporating fusion without diluting the pure original art form, the team at ShowCase Events is on a mission to highlight our rich cultural heritage in its modern setting.
