In my case. Worked for me – though I had uninstalled CS6 and I couldn’t find that registry location either – so I renamed Photoshop. Windows Registry Editor Version 5. Thank you so much! Now my problem is solved Thanks to all for the input with this anoying issue. I did a search with Regedit and found dozens of old entries pointing to Photoshop CC and Photoshop CC 64 bit that I changed, since neither of those is installed now.
The problem is fixed on my machine. I’m betting that some of those are dead keys that PS no longer uses but there is no way to know.
