Press Enter using keyboard. Log on to computer if prompted. Note: You will automatically exit Safe Mode after restarting again the computer. Let us know how it goes. Yes Windows is up to date, verified that last night, none of those add-ins look familiar, I will ensure that they are not there.
Could there be a piece of an old office install on the machine hanging me up? It does not show up in the programs window, I had office on the machine, but thought I killed it before the install. I will check that out and try in safe mode. I think I figured it out. Somehow the office version that was installed was the 32 bit.
I went to make sure that the updates in office were current and saw “Office 32bit”. So I killed that installation, and installing a fresh 64 bit installation of Office. So far it looks like that is what it is, weird, very weird as the laptop was installed off the same disk, and it is the 64 bit on it.
