According to the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), the number of persons in need of mental health services and those suffering from PTSD has increased fourfold since the first wave. As per the experts, there has also been a significant shift in people’s worries. While the stigma surrounding the illness and those struggling financially dominated the first wave, the second wave has been all about loss, sadness, mourning, and death.
